Nicholson Head Start Room 100 August 2010 Welcome to Head Start Room 100! To those of you new to Head Start - welcome to the classroom. To our returning families - welcome back. We are very excited to be back and working with you! This year we look forward to giving your children experiences that will last a lifetime. We will encourage a love of school and learning that they will pass on to others throughout their academic careers. We invite you to share this experience. Volunteering in the classroom is a great way to show how your child how much you care about education. It reinforces what we instill in your child, and you can’t imagine how much fun we have daily. Children whose families volunteer also excel in other ways and beam with pride when a member of their family is there to help others. Parent meetings are also held regularly and give invaluable information that will assist you in teaching your child at home. When you attend these meetings you’ll never leave empty-handed, there is always something distributed that will increase your knowledge and skill level, while increasing your child’s. Last but not least, we want to hear about the dreams, aspirations and goals that you have for your child. If you have concerns, share them, we are here for you. Both of us are mothers, and understand how important your child’s education is to you. If education were not important to you, your child would not be here. So, as we set sail on this new exciting year, remember you can contribute in many ways, stop in and see how. To find out more about Mrs. Allison, click on the link. Mrs. Allison & Ms. Wright
